Would God be pleased if you practiced justice at work? He would be delighted! He tells us in His Word that He delights in kindness, justice and righteousness.
“…but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:24
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for what You have said in Your Word about justice. Forgive me if I have not taken seriously what this means in my walk with You. Please give me the wisdom to better understand what You desire in the area of justice in my decision making, speech and actions. My desire is to live a life that follows You and delights You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Monday: Every morning this week, bring the mindset along to work that you will “administer justice”in the way which will delight God. Ask Him to give you opportunities to practice justice. Expect to see them!
This is what the Lord says to you, house of David: “‘Administer justice every morning; rescue from the hand of the oppressor the one who has been robbed, or my wrath will break out and burn like fire because of the evil you have done— burn with no one to quench it. ” Jeremiah 21:12
Tuesday: As you focus on justice this week, ask God for the wisdom to be able to do so.
When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice. 1 Kings 3:28
Wednesday: As you continue to focus on justice, it may be helpful to consult with others who can assist you in understanding a particular situation and/or give you wise advice. Ask God to give you the mind of Christ in the situation, or for the person, with which/whom you are dealing.
Since it was customary for the king to consult experts in matters of law and justice, he spoke with the wise men who understood the times. Esther 1:13
Thursday: There is joy in justice! As you focus on justice, you may notice that there is more joy in your day. Be encouraged!
When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers. Proverbs 21:15
Friday: Even if things are difficult, continue to focus on justice. Ask Him for strength to continue to do what is right.
This is what the Lord says: “Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed. Isaiah 56:1
Have a delightful week!
