It is true: we are currently in such a wave, and it is affecting us. However, this has not taken the Lord by surprise. We can rest secure, for God knows what is happening and what will happen. He can sustain us in the wave as we can turn to Him.
This week, take time to take a deep breath and reflect on the mightiness of God. Reflect on the fact He is mightier than the waves of the sea and He is mightier than the second wave of COVID-19. The Lord is with you. The Lord loves you. He wants you to remember He is Almighty.
Monday: As we celebrate Thanksgiving, reflect on all the loved ones in your life, and the gifts God has given, and tell Him, “Thank You.”
“Mightier than the waves of the sea is His love for you.” Psalm 93:4
Tuesday: As you start your new week at work, ask Almighty God to protect your workplace, employees and colleagues from COVID-19.
“…who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.” Psalm 65:7
Wednesday: As you continue to deal with the different changes, and decisions that need to be made, ask Almighty God who loves you mightily to give you the wisdom you need.
“Who is like You, Lord God Almighty? You, Lord, are mighty, and Your faithfulness surrounds You. You rule over the surging sea; when its waves mount up, You still them.” Psalm 89:7-8
Thursday: As you perhaps cannot see your loved ones as you want to, ask Almighty God to bestow His grace upon them and to ask Him to give you insight on how you can encourage and bless them.
”He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.” Psalm 107:29
Friday: As you may put yourself last on your list of those to look after, ask Almighty God to help you take time for yourself for rest, relax and to reflect on the joy of His love.
”He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.” Mark 4:39
